I am certified to teach elementary school and am a literacy specialist. I teach reading, writing, and math as well as grammar, study skills, and standardized test taking. The teaching style I have is innovative and passionate. My drive comes from a love of teaching and also learning. It is obvious every day I come to work. An extensive literacy background, and ability to differentiate my teaching for the individual student, makes me an efficient tutor. It is what I have based my life's work on.Also, I include multi-sensory and technology based instruction while creating lessons that are effective and engaging. I can target the skills my students must master and I also hold them accountable for how they do. Over the years, I have learned to recognize progress and growth, which helps me gauge the needs and strengths of every student. Working together with kids enables me to extend my love for teaching and help them see the greatness in learning.As for me, I went to the State University of New York at New Paltz and Manhattanville College. I live in Albany, New York and enjoy running, reading, and can't wait to start teaching your child!
