I am a tutor who understands that every student is unique. I'm available to tutor Spanish, reading, writing, American history, U.S. government and politics, English, social studies, and a variety of other subjects. I can also work with students on their college essays and essay editing skills. I received my degree at the State University of New York, Albany. I've been tutoring since I was in high school, and I have worked with special needs students and as a volunteer at a young girls school. I'm aware that every student is unique and has a different learning style, so I come to all of my tutoring sessions with a multitude of teaching methods and tools so that I can cater my teaching to the student. I relate the subject material we are working on to real world examples because I find this is the best way to engage my students. As a tutor I am patient and I take the time to get to know my students so that I can better help them. I don't want to just help my students learn a subject, I want to encourage them to become better learners when it comes to any subject. In my free time I enjoy watching movies, writing, and doing Zumba.
