ExperienceShortly after graduating from the University of Oregon with my Bachelor of Arts in Human Physiology and Spanish, I began working with special education elementary and high school students. I also tutored Spanish to high school and college students during that time, which gave me an excellent opportunity to maintain my Spanish skills (reading, writing, and speaking) and to pass along many of my cultural experiences gained from traveling to Spain and Mexico. My tutoring skills also include math courses, such as algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2. My favorite subject to teach is Spanish, and I have experience in teaching Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, and AP Spanish Language. I'm currently a graduate student at California State University, Long Beach, and with my doctorate-level course work in physical therapy, I can also offer help in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, medical terminology, and general science classes. When it comes to my students, I prefer to let my pupils set the agenda for each of our tutoring sessions, so that I can serve as a teacher and moderator, instead of a taskmaster. In my free time outside of the classroom, I love weightlifting, being physically active, traveling, reading, and spending time with my family.
