I worked in the computer industry for a long time, and I recently made the choice to come back to teaching, something I've always loved. I went to Franklin and Marshall College for my bachelor's degree in math, and I'm currently studying at Wesleyan University to earn my masters degree in math as well. I was a high school math teacher before I went into the private sector in computing. I started a business after working in the industry for a while, and I often called on my teaching experience when I was doing sales. My academic and professional background allows me to help students understand why math concepts are important and how they are used in the real world. This help students visualize abstract ideas and increases understanding and retention. I like to make math as understandable as possible to help students become confident in their abilities. In my free time, I enjoy riding my bike, skiing, skating, and hiking.
