I got my start as a tutor by peer-tutoring other students in my Biology class. Presently, I work as a professional tutor with nearby universities, and help students gain a better understanding of Biology and how it affects the world around them. I have experience as a professional note taker too, ensuring my notes are complete and help students with everything they need to learn about the study of science. I have worked in the field of research, which I was offered after I complete my master's degree, so I have first-hand experience in a professional setting with the subject. I earned my B.S. in Biology from SUNY New Paltz. I attended Hunter College, where I earned a master's degree in Biology and a concentration in Biotechnology. Subjects I can assist students in include Biology, IB Biology HL and SL, Biotechnology, Evolutionary Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetic, and both high school and college Biology. I want students to leave our tutoring sessions excited and ready to learn more about how these subjects affect their lives and are important to learn. In my free time I love to read and knit. I'm also continually learning about anything that has to do with Science.
