Education

I attended Shaker High School in Latham, NY for all four years (2009-2013). I graduated in the top 40 students (out of over 500), with my Advanced Regents Diploma. In the summer of 2013, the I attended SUNY Brockport with a major in Political Science with the intention to attend Law School. However, Law School has been put on hold since becoming a new mother. I graduated in May of 2017 with my Bachelor's Degree.

Experience

I have been tutoring on and off since I was in High School. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, as well as a wide range of grade and skill levels. I love being a tutor because I enjoy teaching children new things, as well as teaching them to love learning. I believe anyone at any stage of their learning can become an excellent student, all it takes is someone to find a way to connect something, "unfun", like doing homework, to something "fun", like playing sports, dancing, etc.

Hobbies

I am a new mom, which means I am a stay at home mom, so I have a fairly flexible schedule to work with. I have many hobbies, and enjoy many different activities besides tutoring and teaching. I have enjoyed learning my whole life, so even today I love to read, either by myself or to my baby boy. I also enjoy being active and fit. I have played many sports in my life, since I was a young child all the way through college. I even do little exercises here and there to stay in shape after giving birth. I am also a decent chef and baker, and one day I hope to even write my own cookbook. I am very personable and relatable. I strongly believe in communication, not only between the student and their tutor or teacher, but also between the teacher/tutor and the parents. That is why I can be relied on to communicate the progress of the student and anything else that may ever come up throughout our time together.
