I am a medical student at Albany Medical College. I have an extensive background in science and mathematics, and have been tutoring professionally for four years. I particularly enjoy biology and physiology, but am competent in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and reading comprehension.
I have experience tutoring students ranging in ages from 7-40 years. I enjoy tutoring because I get to guide students to the right answer themselves, and it brings me a lot of happiness to see my students connecting the dots to solve the problems they are having. I intend to hold a mentorship or teaching position within the medical field, and my tutoring experience has helped me to cultivate strong communication skills.
I am very patient, nonjudgmental, and explain material clearly. I firmly believe in the Socratic method of teaching, whereby I challenge students to think critically, get questions wrong, and learn from their mistakes
HobbiesI love to play sports such as soccer, rugby, and Australian football. Being outside makes me happy, so I like to hike or rock climb. I enjoy speaking and learning foreign languages, and I speak Spanish, Italian, German, and Thai. Music is a big part of my life; I listen to it constantly. I also identify a bit as a geek; I watch animated shows and movies often, and enjoy video games.

Tristan has worked with my boys now for over 6 months and has done an excellent job teaching them Math & Science. My boys are in 1st, 4th & 6th grade and they really like him. He works great with the kids and is very responsible with his time. I would refer him to anyone who needed help without hesitation.
